Food Writing

This is Part II on food writing — let’s delve a little deeper into ways that you can present a piece about one or more restaurants that will establish you as a confident food writer who is comfortable with sharing your thoughts about the places you eat at when you travel.

As a former restaurant critic and food writer, I know all too well how appealing and rewarding talking about food for a living can be, but for novice writers, this genre can feel awkward, especially when you long to explore restaurants in foreign countries. In the first of this two-part offering, I will start to share some of the things I’ve learned over the past few decades about writing a food-based piece.
